ABOUT

I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) with my B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation and a minor in mathematics in December 2022. My undergraduate research in the Quantitative Ecology lab, in collaboration with Madeleine Lohman, investigated the spatial and temporal distribution of mallard band recoveries from birds banded in the Mississippi flyway. See the projects tab for further information about this research.

During the summer of 2022, I also worked with the Sustainable Horticulture lab at UNR assisting graduate students with research on grapes, hemp, tomatoes, and melons.

My most recent work in the conservation field was for the Forest Ecology and Silviculture lab at UNR where I collected data at three high elevation tree-line sites. This project focused on tree mortality and understory plant phenology.
Following my work in academia, I spent a period of time working as a Farm and Food Security Assistant (Americorps) at the Desert Farming Initiative. There, I was introduced to local food security efforts and the labor required for daily farm operations.
